Retail Operations Manager

What you will do

You will look after a group of stores, not just one. Your job is to make sure every store runs the same way and hits its numbers.

You will be on the road most weeks visiting stores. On each visit you check the standards, walk the floor with the store manager and pick up problems before they get big. You coach the store managers and you hold them to the targets.

You own the numbers for the group. Sales, stock, shrinkage, staff costs and store expenses. You look at the reports every week, you find the stores that are slipping and you put a plan in place to fix them.

You also handle staff planning, new store openings, stock takes and any store audits. You work with head office on stock, marketing and any changes coming to the floor. You report to the general manager and you give a full report on your group every month.
