Next Job

Terms of Use

The deal between us.

These are the rules for using Next Job. They keep the platform fair for job seekers and employers alike. By using Next Job, you agree to them.

Last updated: July 2026

Next Job connects people looking for work with employers who are hiring, right across South Africa. These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We have kept them plain and short on purpose.

Using Next Job

  • You must give true and correct information. Do not pretend to be someone else or put false details on your CV.
  • You must be allowed to work in South Africa to apply for jobs here.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account details safe.
  • Use the platform respectfully. Do not harass, spam, or abuse other people on it.

For job seekers

It is always free

Building your CV and applying for jobs on Next Job is free, always. You will never be charged to apply.

Never pay to apply

No genuine employer on Next Job will ask you to pay money to apply for a job. If someone does, do not pay them, and please report it to us straight away.

Your CV is yours

The information on your CV is provided by you. You can edit it, and you can ask us to delete it and close your account at any time.

For employers

  • Posting is free, up to a set number of jobs per company. We may offer paid options for more in future.
  • Every job is checked by our team before it goes live, so please post real, genuine roles.
  • You must reply to applicants. This is the heart of Next Job, and it is a condition of posting here.
  • You may only use applicant information for hiring, and only contact people about a job they applied for.
  • You must protect applicant privacy and never sell or misuse their information.

The no ghosting rule

Employers agree to reply.

When you post a job on Next Job, you agree to respond to the people who apply, even when the answer is no. We keep track of this. Jobs and accounts that repeatedly leave people waiting may be removed, so we stay fair to everyone. This is what makes Next Job different, and we take it seriously.

Messages on the platform

Employers can start a private message conversation with someone who applied to their job. To keep people safe, these messages stay on Next Job, and our team may review conversations for quality and safety. Do not use messaging to send spam, abuse, or anything unlawful.

What we are, and what we are not

Next Job is a platform that connects job seekers and employers. We are not the employer, and we are not your agent.

  • We do our best to check jobs, but we cannot guarantee that every job, employer, or applicant is exactly as described.
  • We are not responsible for the truth of the information people put on their CVs or in their job posts.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of employers or job seekers, or for what happens between them off the platform.
  • Whether to hire, and whether to accept a job, is a decision between you and the other party.

Please use your own good judgement, as you would anywhere, and tell us if something does not seem right.

Closing accounts

You can close your account at any time. We can also suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses the platform, or puts other people at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. When we make an important change, we will update the date at the top. If you keep using Next Job, that means you accept the updated terms.
