What you will do

You will spend your day on the phone. Some jobs are inbound, which means customers call you with questions or problems. Some are outbound, which means you call people to sell or to follow up.

You log every call on the system while you are talking. You must be able to type and talk at the same time.

You will get targets. Calls handled, sales made or problems solved. Your supervisor listens to your calls and helps you get better at them.

Some clients pay commission on top of the salary. Some need agents for night shift because they work with overseas customers.

What you need

•

Grade 12

•

Clear spoken English, a second South African language is a plus

•

At least 6 months call centre or customer service experience

•

You can type while you talk

•

You stay calm with an angry customer

•

You can work shifts if the client needs night shift
