This is a talent pipeline position. We are building a list for roles that open with our clients.
You look after a group of fashion stores in your region, usually 8 to 15. The store managers report to you.
You are on the road most weeks. On each visit you walk the floor, review the numbers with the store manager and leave a clear action list with dates.
You drive sales. You track units per sale, average basket, conversion and staff cost against turnover, and you put plans in place where it is slipping.
You own shrinkage. Stock takes, cash controls and stock rotation.
You make sure stores look the way the brand wants. Windows, mannequins, fixtures and the new range on the floor on launch day.
You coach and grow your store managers.
Retail hours apply, including month end, weekends and peak trading.
At least 5 years in retail with 2 years managing more than one store
Fashion or clothing retail experience, this is not the same as food retail
You have run a region or acted in an area manager role before
You can read a trading report and know what to do about it
You can coach a store manager and also have the hard conversation when needed
Valid drivers licence and your own reliable car, you will travel every week Grade 12, a retail or business qualification
