Cashier

What you will do

You will work the till. You scan the goods, you take the payment, you give the right change and you hand over the slip. Cash, card and app payments.

You count your float at the start of your shift and you cash up at the end. Your till must balance. If it does not balance you must be able to explain why.

You are the last person the customer speaks to, so you must be friendly even when the queue is long and people are moody. You keep your till point clean and packed.

You also help with price checks, refunds and stock on the shelves near you when the store is quiet.
